Chicken Party Pie Takes Top Honors!
PITTSBURG, Texas, June 3

PITTSBURG, Texas, June 3 Visitors to the
Pilgrim's Pride Winning Taste Recipe Contest(R) Web site have chosen the 1995
Grand Prize Winner, Chicken Party Pie, as their all-time favorite grand prize
winning recipe.

This original recipe, created by Janet Solomon of Ruskin, Fla., is a
reinvention of the much loved, comfort food standard, chicken pot pie. It
contains fresh, cut-up chicken breasts, mushrooms, scallions, red pepper and
sweet, buttery Havarti cheese.

Other favorites included: 2007 Tortilla Crusted Chicken Rellenos and
Cilantro Sauce; 1989 Savory Chicken Stew Over Rice; 2001 Chipotle-Honey Glazed
Chicken and 2004 Almond Crusted Chicken with Asparagus Spears. All recipes
from the contest are available at http://www.pilgrimspride.com in the 20-year
recipe archive.

All voters for their favorite grand prize winning recipe were entered in a
drawing for a Fire Magic(R) gourmet grill. The randomly chosen grill winner
was Karen Vasser of Memphis, Tenn.

The 2008 Winning Taste Recipe Contest winners will be announced shortly
and added to the Web site in June. Entries for the 2009 contest will be
accepted beginning in September. Contest winners will be eligible for more
than $50,000 in prizes including an international gourmet cooking vacation,
grills, cookware, cutlery and cash awards.

The Winning Taste Recipe Contest, created to promote and encourage
creative cooking with fresh chicken, is celebrating 20 years as one of the
nation's longest running and most widely recognized chicken cooking contests.
Pilgrim's Pride Corporation conducts the contest, which has awarded more than
$600,000 in cash and merchandise to amateur cooks across the nation.
