CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. - Saladworks, the nation’s first and largest fresh-tossed salad franchise concept, announces today that Dana’s Salad is available in all locations. Dana’s Salad is a mixture of iceberg and romaine lettuce topped with artichokes, mozzarella cheese, olives, and tomatoes, tossed with Radiatorre pasta and shrimp. Saladworks recommends the Lemon Capri dressing to compliment the salad.

Dana Schafer of Langhorne, PA is the creator of Dana’s Salad and winner of the franchise’s “Create-Your-Own Powerhouse Salad” contest. The contest asked fans to submit their own Powerhouse Salad creation based on ingredients from the franchise’s new menu, featuring over 50 salad toppings.

“I was just on the Saladworks Web site deciding what I wanted for dinner,” Schafer said. “I saw that there was a contest and I just submitted the ingredients that I love in my salads!”

Shortly thereafter, Dana’s Salad was named a winner, earning its namesake a $500 Saladworks gift card. Dana’s Salad is the first of three seasonal salads created by Saladworks fans to be released this year.

“One reason Saladworks is America’s Best Salads is because we encourage our fans to create their own favorite salad recipes every day,” said Saladworks Founder/CEO, John Scardapane. “Dana’s Salad was chosen from thousands of recipe entries for her unique, well-balanced, and flavorful combination of our fresh ingredients. We know our fans will love Dana’s creation.”

“The Tivoli Salad from Saladworks was always my favorite, but now it’s going to be Dana’s Salad,” Schafer said. “How could it not be?”
